I have 2 devices, HDHomerun and Firewire (cablebox). No matter what I do, When I select WatchTV it goes to the HDHR instead of the firewire, even if I was watching the firewire last. How can I get it to default to the other input?

So, if you were to remove your tuners (and inputs) and recreate them, defining the firewire device last, WatchTV should default to the firewire input.

Wow, thats pretty powerful!
You know myth has so many great features, and then you get some simple, obvious BS stuff that just isn't in there.

You can do this with the input priority. Creation order is just the fall back for this if nothing else is set, or for inputs that are otherwise at the same priority level.

Its the opposite on mine. I set the boxes up with the HDHR (since I can access it from anywhere), and then added firewire last.

I'm pretty sure I've tried that. My impression was that input priority is only for recording, and not for Watch TV?

Default input for me follows the lowest priority Tuner available.
I have 3 boxes, whihc are not always on. Only the MBE stays on at all times. If I select watch TV and that is the only one available(not recording at the moment) then that is what is selected for Watch TV.
If I have all three boxes running, (only occasionally like mid season for programs) then the 4th Tuner is lowest priority and is the one selected. That works great because everything but the 4th Tuner can be tuned by KM. That 4th Tuner using a UHF remote, so I can then set it manually. Kind of a pain but I can set it from anywhere I am watching Live TV.
So it will follow a fairly complete selection and you always windup getting the Lowest Priority, Available Tuner.....
Hope that helps!

I've confirmed that changing the priorities has no effect on which tuner is chosen for WatchTV. Anyone know what source module WatchTV is implemented? No need to speculate when we have the code...

Ok, upon further review, we're all right.
WHEN "avoid conflicts between Live TV and recordings" is selected, then the LOWEST priority tuner is selected for WatchTV.
Twould be nice to have a "default tuner for watch TV", or maybe a priority order like boot device order on a PC...
