Post subject:  xmltv guide data off

I am using an xmltv grabber to make guide data. The programs are loading correctly just 5 hours off. This is the same amount of time I am off of utc. I have gone into timezone config and I am set up as central time which is correct. Bios is set to utc. My xmltv file has the time -0000. No offset. Should there be?

Yes. Try -0500.

If I can't get the xmltv generator to put an offset in, is there a way to fix this issue.

You should be able to do this in mythtv-setup. Alt-2 Alt-S General, I believe. If it's not there it's in Utilities/Setup General. I'm not in front of my box ATM.

You might want to try the procedure here. http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=ProgramGuideIsOff

Thanks. I had to change xmltv time offset to auto. It was set to none and so interpreted all times off the xmltv file as auto.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had done that and had my system time and time zone and everything set correctly. I just had to change the setting in mythtv setup. I changed the xmltv time offset to auto in the general page and everything is good. It was on none.

Thanks

Could I trouble you to update that wiki page and add the bit about making sure it's set to auto? Thanks!
