Post subject: | audio sync problems with the internal player.. xine is fine |
hi. id prefer to use the internal player for my videos.. i just like it. unfortunately im having big problems with some.. but not all videos. for example, most avi files work fine, but some have massive sync problems.. the audio is delayed by nearly a second. the files work fine on VLC player on other computers, and work fine through xine on my myth box. if it was all videos.. it would make sense to me.. but it's only some. im having the same problem with some of my recordings. live tv is always fine.. but quite often, recordings are out of sync. the only post recording that i generally do is to remove commercials.. ive told myth to stop doing that.. as i though it might be the problem. im not sure if its fixed the problem. im using F27. |

The internal player is far from perfect. You could try building and installing an SVN version of MythTV to see if they've fixed the issue in question. Other than that we fall back on the classic answers... Patient: "Doctor! it hurts when I do this!" Doctor Groucho: "Then don't do that." |

danke TJC... ill just stop doing that. xine works nicely for videos files ill explore my problems with recordings further ... hopefully the fact that ive turned off all the transcoding and commercial detection it will be fine. |
