I was watching LiveTV and stumbled across a SNL bit that I liked. (I had been viewing from the previous commercial to the start of the bit) A few seconds into the bit, I found (in the dark) the record button on my remote. Recorded the bit and then stopped the recording. Next day go to recording and I see 2 parts. 1 a few seconds before recording (including commercial), and part 2 from the time I pushed the record button. :?:

Now according to the MythTV user manualit states this:

Quote:
While watching Live TV press the Image:RemoteRecord.png key, MythTV will start recording the show from the point that you started watching it until the show is finished, according to the Guide schedule.

yet what I see is that the recording actually didn't record from the beginning, but from when I pushed record.

is anyone else seeing this? I've been able to repeat this many times. It's actually better to NOT record and then when finished, back out of LiveTV and just disable the auto expire from the recordings as this keeps just one recording, but this is real awkward.

Anyone know if this problem is with Myth or KM? I doubt it's hardware. But I don't see a Myth ticket (though I'm not a pro at finding tickets). I also can't put a finger on when it broke.

(This hurts WAF for me. She likes recording music videos, news clips, etc when surfing.)
