| Post subject: | Nvidia Settings Not Taking Effect |
I seem to be having a problem with my nvidia settings take effect. When I watch my DVR boot up it seems that the setting are applied. The screen moves position and is adjusted horizontal and vertical for overscan. Then the settings revert to a square picture that is offset and to small. Running nvidia-settings the Nvidia X Server Setting gui pops up and my settings take effect. Closing the nvidia settings gui the setting revert back again. Any suggestions? (Systems specs. in signature) |

Hi, I would think hardware would have been better choice for the post. Do you have any settings from defaults with in the mythtv setup stuff? Again I have to assume that you are using a computer monitor for output display? Is your /etx/X11/xorg.conf using nvidia for the driver? Suggest checking the resolution setting also. A slow glace over tjc's excellent Tip&Hints guide may offer some insights also. Mike |

Got it figured out. The settings were taking effect buy apparently I was not pushing them to the correct values. Things are working now, upped the overscan, tweaked the GUI size and position and things are working like a champ. |
