I'm just wondering what people are using (if anything) for Karaoke under LINUX. Preferably something that interfaces with the mythfrontend (might be asking too much). I did see the kmwiki article about using pykaraoke, but it doesn't compare to Ultrastar NG judging by the screenshots.

I found this link to the wikipedia article on ultrastar (ultrastar NG for LINUX). We've played with it under win32 and it's pretty good. Here is the sourceforge page to Ultrastar for win32.

As I said, you need the NG version for LINUX.

There is a mythtv module, but it appears to be out of date: http://mythextra.napsi.net/mythKaraoke.html

Maybe someone in the community has gotten it to work.
