Hello, I am in the process of consolidating remotes. One of the things I have done is configure on of the buttons on my remote to toggle the power on my projector and my receiver, using irexec and a script file. I would like to fine tune this task to prompt the user before turning off the projector, just in case the button is pressed accidentally. Is there a way for a bash script to present a popup window that could prompt for confirmation before executing the power off? Thanks, |

Hi, Look up "zenity". It is a command line dialogue box interface. Very basic but might do what you want. If only there was an equivalent that had mythtv styling. BigB, |

Zenity isn't available on KM (since it is running FluxBox I suppose), but with the name I was able to search and find gxmessage. Using that I have updated my power-toggle.sh script to prompt prior to powering off the projector. |
