Hello, I came across this forum by searching in Google of how to customize your set top box. Actually I want to setup my own channels by using the internet. The idea is saving the URL links of my favorite (free on line) channels as Channel 1,2,3 ..etc and use the remote control to change the channel (on my tv) according to what I have already saved, with the ability of updating it at any time. So is KnoppMythe what I'm looking for? by the way I have no idea of using LINUX or even any computer language. |

Almost certainly not what you're looking for. KnoppMyth/LinHES is a Linux distribution designed to install on PC type hardware which is then used as a PVR/DVR (aka a Media PC or Entertainment PC). If you're looking to tweak a Cable or Satellite Company type set top box that's an entirely different thing. |
