Hello,
New to LinHES, but used Mythbuntu for years. Really loved that my 800i was pretty plug and play, but it's been so long since I've set it up, I don't know what I'm doing wrong or if something else is broken. I've installed Mythbuntu 16.04 and LinHES R8.5.2 and keep getting the same issue: I can scan for channels, get the OTA ones available in my area, but when I go to watch TV, the card won't open. I used "lspci -vvnn" and everything looks normal except the "capabilities" section is <not authorized> or similar. I keep playing with settings, but can't actually watch TV. I'm a bit at a loss. Is there a setup tutorial with screenshots somewhere?
Thanks.

stupid question: will it record a scheduled show? You only mentioned Live TV.

Not stupid at all. It won't run an EIT crawl either, so I can't test it very easily. I'll check when I get home. I did manage to get live TV working, I have no idea how. Without the EIT as well, it doesn't do me much good.

Are you located in the USA? If you use Schedules Direct you don't "need" the EIT scan. I had a card once (may have been a pinnacle) where I had to adjust the timeout on channel lock. I can't remember where that was exactly but It was in the mythtv-setup in the tuning card settings. Not sure if that might help

Still doesn't fix anything. I don't have internet access. I'll go looking for an old iteration of something and hope it works. MythBuntu was plug-and-play three or four years ago...
