Hello, I run Knoppmyth without a TV card. Therefore I don't start mythbackend, and I put up with the error seen when exiting mythfrontend. However, this configuration also breaks mythweb. If the backend isn't up, I get an error to that effect when accessing mythweb. If I start the backend, I still get errors regarding no channels. I did try setting up a dummy card, but that wasn't very successful (I think it crashed the frontend at one point). So, is there any point in me trying to get mythweb working? Does anyone run a similar config? Obviously the main point of mythweb is to play with recordings, which I don't do. But I believe it has some other stuff available, like key bindings - can anyone clue me in on a way to get at least the non-TV parts of mythweb working? TIA |

Mythweb needs the backend to be running, since it gets much of it's information from it. There's no reason you can't run a backend without a TV card however. |

Success! If you start the backend, then visit the default mythweb address, you get an error page: Code: load_all_program_data() attempted with an empty $Channels array
However, having searched on here, I find that I can visit http://mythbox/mythweb/settings.php - from where I can set key bindings. Thanks for making me look again! |
