Every time I restart my knoppmyth server the sound settings I made before are gone. I use alsamixer to change the recording source. (its set to MIC instead of LINE when rebooted). How can I save this permanently? Thanks! |

Saving your setting can be done by Code: alsactl Just do Code: man alsactl . If u don't have it installed just do Code: apt-get -s install alsactl and than Code: apt-get install alsactl

Code: alsactl That program might work but I've never had to use it. If you run alsamixer as root it seems to remember the settings. |

I've already tried "amixer set Line,0 75%,75% mute captur". and alsactl store. that works (almost). I have sound only on one speaker then. Unusable. When using alsamixer I always have to set the recording device to line after reboot. Any ideas? |

oh my god...I have to run "alsactl restore" after every reboot, then everything is fine...sorry for dumb question.... |
