I've got a knoppmyth box with a PVR-150. I'm trying to set the default recording profile to 320x240 to be played on portable devices. The problem is the 320 is always bumped up to 384. Likewise, if i just use the standard 480x480, the recorded video comes out as 512x480.

I thought that 320x240 might not be supported by the PVR-150 or the IVTV driver and tried to adjust--if it couldn't record at 320, then I would simply raise the 240 to 288 to preserve the 4:3 ratio.

So I set the default profile to 384x288, and I get distortion--48 black vertical lines that appear to be composed of smaller vertical lines of varying legnths... I can probably post a screenshot if someone is interested.

If I set the default profile to 320x288, the recording comes out at a resulution of 384x288 (same as above), but without distortion.

So my questions are 1. Should I be able to record at 320x240 on a PVR-150 running IVTV .43 (knoppmyth R5B7)? and 2. Why isn't Myth recording at the resolutions that I set in the profile--even when it's set to the default 480x480?

Hi-

Check your logs. specifically the XFree86....log file

/var/log

It will tell you why it was not able to get into that resolution.

You might also want to check your mythbackend log, in the same dir as /var/log.

Good Luck,
Mike
