Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to make MythTV record/save HDTV shows in .TS format rather than .mpg? Easier for me to edit this way with a program in windows called HDTVTOMPEG. Thanks

I thought mythtv does now record in TS format for all mpeg recordings.

Even though Mythtv puts an .mpg on the filenames, the HDTV shows are mpeg transport stream (TS) files.

If you want Mythtv to automatically name the video files in the "Pretty" folder with the suffix .ts, then you could edit the script /usr/local/bin/mythrename.pl so it does that for you.

Otherwise, you could just copy the files to your Windows machine and rename the files as "name.ts" and then the HDTVtoMPEG2 program will recognize the files just fine.
