I now have MythTV working (mostly)...but I've noticed an oddity that I haven't found on forum searches. Namely, when the computer is booting, a loud continuous blast of "digital noise" turns on as Alsa is initializing. It stays on until the MythTV frontend (on the same box as the backend) has started. Although I have both analog and S/PDIF outputs on my motherboard, I do not have the digital output enabled.

Anyone else have this problem?
