I tried to install Knoppmyth last fall but was stumped by a failure to reboot after install. I finally noticed someone with the same problem had solved it by removing lines 2 & 3 from his lilo.conf file and then running lilo. I notice that these 2 lines pertain to ataraid. I have got knopmyth up and sortof running but just out of curiousity I attempted to mount my pair of 120G drives that are striped on a Promise fasttrak raid controller (I installed XP and wintv2000 when I could not get knoppmyth to work) and I am able to read the files on the 240G raid aray. I can't seem to write to it though. When I mount it with -v I am told that it mounted rw successfully but when I try to write to it i am told that it is read only. I tried -o remount rw and then when I try to write I am told that the operation is not supported. Does anyone know the current level of ataraid support in R4V4 and where I might look for information to get this working? I like what I see in Knoppmyth but while I try to get it working I need to dual boot to XP to do daily recording.
