if you have a nvidia card and hadn't installed the nvidia drivers that will definitely improve performance.

Well, this isn't going very well. Reinstalled three times now, every time I run install-nvidia.sh its not configuring X correctly, and it locks the system.

Suggestions?

BTW, I replaced the Nvidia TNT2 with a MX4000 that I picked up for $30 ($50 out of pocket - $20 rebate) from Office Max that has a video out. Problem occured with previous and new card.

Ok well, tried the install-nvidia-6111-deb.sh and seems to be working much better now, but the quality is still a bit off, though MUCH smoother.
