Am I correct in thinking this remote would be great for a mythtv box? I just ordered a Lite On IR keyboard for main control, but I wanted also to get a learning remote to make control easier. I kinda want to get a regular remote so I could control myth and the tv volume, but those tend to cost a little more for the good ones and be a lot larger.

Thoughts? Anyone care to recomend a good ir learning remote they've used under $40?

About the best remote I've ever used is $30 at Radio Shack.

It will control 8 different devices and does learning. The learning buffer is relatively small, but it has the JP1 interface so it doesn't matter. With JP1 you can plug it into your PC and make it do pretty much whatever you want. It's really pretty incredible. Do a search on JP1 and you'll see what I mean. It is a little larger than some others but, since it replaced 5 other remotes for me, it's well worth it.
