forgive me in advance Cesman :) If anyone can help in any of the followin id be delighted..
Ive just made the move from monitor to tv with very little success :(

HW
===
-Antec Aria
-Chaintech 7nif 2 - im using the onbaord sound (intel)
Im using a svideo (yellow) + two audio cable (white and red) cable.
(all wrapped together). See here for a pic

I'll list these problems in order of how they annoy me..

1.) Only when I hold one of the audio cables e.g. the red one at a weird angle and level of pressure will the audio from my mythbox be heard.

It seems to me that the audio plug im trying to get into my onboard sound jack isnt long enough i.e. a good enough contact being made.

This results in no sound. Can some one recomend a more suitable cable or cables -
I cant figure out what im what im going todo cable wise for my single sound output jack and my tv's left and right (blue and white input)

2.) My picture is monochrome (black and white) .. I think this is as one of the pins on my svideo cable seems to be broken (If someone could diagnoise this for me it would be appreciated :)

3) When the svideo cable is plugged into my mythbox i get this annoying hum.
Any ideas.

Thanks guys - im going to have to leave my "myth room" now cause ive been here the last couple of hours trying to find some answers :( Again any help is much appreciated

Will

I would go out and buy some quality cables (it'll cost you a few bucks, but it's worth it). you know you need an svideo cable so get one of those I usually get the acoustic research, cause they are good quality, and about 1/4 the price of the monster cables. For your other cable I am guessing what you are trying to use is coax spdif which will need a coax audio cable for good results. Your description of the connections is not clear enough for me to be certain about the audio cable.
