HI Guys,

To help me troubleshoot my visionplus dvb-t card (black screen on monitor when I select livetv and card not recognised in mythtv-setup) could someone with a working visionplus under R5A12 let me know what card number and tuner type it is detected as?

Card number and tuner type is for analogue cards. To get a DVB card working with KnoppMyth, you have to add some kernel modules to load the DVB drivers. For a VisionPlus, you need the dst and dvb-bt8xx modules. Edit the file /etc/modules, and add 2 lines:

dst
dvb-bt8xx

near the top. Then, after you reboot, in the setup program you should be able to add a DVB card, tune for services, and setup channel numbers. After that you can try watching TV in the MythTV (frontend) program.
