Hello,
I installed R5V12 from scratch. When I do live tv or playback, the audio and video is shoppy. My DMA is set from my HD, and I us the setting to use hadware decoder in the setup page. When the box is just recording, it ony uses 2% of the processor. But when watching live TV orplaying back a recording, it uses over 75% of the CPU. I used the perl script pvr.pl to help setup the tv out part for my 350 Card.

Intel 2G Celaron.
MSI sis 971 MB.
250G HD
512MB Memmory
PVR-350 and PVR-250 Card.

Thanks
JBD

Hello,
I have descovered something. If I where to do this
Code:
dd if=/dev/video0 of=/dev/video16

I get dd: opening '/dev/video16' : No such device.

What do I need to do to get this working?

I'll check my test rig at home later and see how much cpu utilization I get.

Ok I figured it out. For some reason I have to use /dev/video17 instead of /dev/video16. This might have to be do to the fact that I have two PVR cards in my machine, but one is a 250.

Thanks
JBD
