I got lirc, I got mythtv and a reciever. How do I config the remote to work with it? Is there something I need to be running in the background?

so not enought information. are you running knoppmyth what remote are you using? if it's associated with a card what card. are you using an irblaster?

I wasn't clear. My mistake. I'm using a creative Infra-Reciever. I'm running a generic remote though.
