I say possible, but I've got the parts, and have started to install.

So I didnt know if this was the correct thread or not. But here it goes.

board - BIOSTAR M7VIG400 Socket A (Socket 462) VIA KM266Pro Micro ATX
chip - AMD Athlon XP 2200+
tvcard - Hauppauge WINTV401 PCI TV Card
512 MB RAM
200 GB HD
1 old DirectTV TiVo remote control
evation.com's ircman
wifi - TRENDnet TEW-424UB USB2.0 Wireless Adapter [ God willing I can get this working on Linux ]

It was my intention to hook all this up to my TV, as opposed to watching TV on the monitor.

I started the installation process. I am a Slackware fan, so this was my first forray into another distro. I was satisfied with the setup and had mythtv running in no time. It's the internet connecitivity I think I missed during the initial mythtv setup. I have an IP and everything, its just setting up that connection in mythtv I think I missed.

I am going to try to get the wifi up tonight, maybe the remote control.

If anyone has any experience with wifi, that might be helpful. Or any newbie advice in general. I am looking forward to using mythtv!

Welcome aboard. netcardconfig will allow you to reconfigure the network. wlcardconfig may work for your wireless card. You can find more information about wireless by searching the forum (there is even a Google on it...).
