I double checked the frequency set and remembered I had in fact changed it to say us-bcast instead of us-cable. I also checked that the default input in Capture Cards was Tuner 0 and that my Input Connection Tuner 0 was the only one in the list with my video source.

Don't know if this matters, but I tried pulling the coax cable from the computer while it was in the 'watch tv' mode. There was absolutely NO difference in video or audio. Just the same static on both.

For fun I'm going to try a rabbit ears antenna later today to see if that makes any difference at all. (At this point, I'm willing to try anything)

Another thing I was noticing was the directions located in the wiki here:
http://knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page ... stallation
I know it's just a different set of instructions, however they have a different /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv file from the one that I have. Particularly the 'tuner=47' part. In browsing the forums, people have mentioned that this was a factor.

BTW, I would love to solve this to help someone else out! Believe you me!

Just curious, would installing a later version of the IVTV driver help? Currently I'm using version ivtv-0.3.2s per Ralph's directions because he mentioned having good luck with that driver.

Could be. The PVR 150 is still fairly bleeding edge.

Quick Update, I tried the ol' Rabbit Ears antenna and had the same result..still snow.
Going to attempt to try a different IvTv driver. Anyone have a recommended version for my PVR-150 (non MCE)

Thanks!

**UPDATE**
MythTV is now working!
I decided to follow my instincts and modify the /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv file.

My IvTv file is as follows:
alias char-major-61 lirc_i2c
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
options cx25840 no_black_magic=1
options ivtv tuner=39,50 ivtv_std=1,1 tda9887=0 mixer_input=2

options cx25840 i2c_enable=1
options saa7127 i2c_enable=-1

The major difference from my old file was this line:
options ivtv ivtv_std=0 tuner=50 tda9887=0 ivtv_debug=1

I still have issues with video quality, in particular I have a small band of snow at the top of the screen and when I change channels, the video quality is somewhat poor and very 'digitally' choppy.
But I'll search and post thos problems in another forum. Thanks to all who helped and I hope this helps someone else!
