If you are saying you have a reciever or some sort of amplifier connected directly up to the line output of the kworld card that will never work right. the sound has to be fed back into the computer so it can be saved and synced with the video. If the line out of the kworld does go to the linein of a soundcard (the way it needs to be) then you mute the linein port of the soundcard and set it up to be the capture port. how to do this has been covered numerous times here and it's in the mythtv docs from the mythv site.

Ah, did not cover that part yet. I thought it would just pull the audio straight off the tuner card. Guess that's why they included that little jumper wire w/ the tuner...

Great, that adds another thing to my list... I have to get my soundcard working! Not sure what chipset it is, all I know is I have an Nforce2 mobo. maybe it would actually be easier to disable the onboard sound and use a more common PCI soundcard. I think I have a few laying around.

nforce2 uses the intel driver, and should have been autodetected and configured during setup.

Well, I went home yesterday and had three recordings, but when I watched them they weren't what should have been recorded. Turns out I had the time set wrong (though it appeared correct on the Knoppmyth desktop!?) and zap2it thought it was 4 hours earlier than it actually was.

Got that fixed last night (and reset the BIOS clock to the correct time) and got another recording last night (Family Guy!). Flipped through it quickly this morning, and it did record correctly, but I didn't check to see if I had audio. I'll mess around w/ it a bit more tonight.
