I'm trying to connect my rear projection tv to the myth box with an ATI Radeon 9250 via S-Video and I can't seem to get an image to display on the television. I've tried S-Video and Composite Video to my projection tv and also composite video to another televison, all I get is a black screen when I boot the myth box. Any ideas? I also read this in the install instructions ...

"If you have the system hooked up to a TV, then **ENSURE** that /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 contains:
HorizSync "30 - 50"
VertRefresh "60" "

But when I open xterm and type "/etc/X11/XF86Config-4" I get the following error message ... "No such file or directory"

you have to edit the file not try to run it. try running vimtutor to learn how to use vi to edit files.

Is that in the flux box somewhere? I can't seem to find it.

just type vimtutor at a command prompt

When I type "VIMTUTOR" at the command prompt it gives me a "file not found" error ... I tried using both command prompts under "shell" in the flukbox.

This is Unix, case matters. Running "vimtutor" is not the same as "VIMTUTOR".

BTW - You can also use "nano" instead. Inflicting "vi" on newbies is just plain sadistic... ;-)
