Thanks for the fantastic HOW-TO, khrusher. Now that I finally have Myth working with my PVR-250 card, I can change focus to the remote control. Not sure what I want to do yet since I am planning on condensing several components down. Basically, I'm guessing a universal 4 device RC will suffice since all I will have is my receiver, TV and Myth box.

Heres a good one for you. I searched Pricewatch.com and am thinking about buying an IR keyboard and then use a Universal "Learning" Remote to emulate the keys from the keyboard insdead of working with LIRC (I am not very good with it and have already damaged my system one trying to program LIRC). I haven't tryed it yet but I cant see any reason why it wouldnt work.

Sux though that my 4-IN-1 Radio Shack remote that cost me $40 isn't a learning remote cause it sure does look sweet.

Although I do have one question, is there a way to bind the HALT comand to a key on the keyboard?
