Can anyone explain to me what the differences are between the Hauppauge Tuners (150, 250, 350, 401, 500)?

Which ones is easiest to get working with the latest KnoppMyth Release?

Which is the best buy?

I saw a website that recommended the 401 Tuner, but I dont see anyone using it around here. Any other information about the cards would be appreciated. I am going to buy this week, but I wasn't sure which one to get.

Thanks

150 - new harware tuner comes in mce (no remote) and nonmce (remote) versions. probably the best deal on single tuner.
250 - the old hardware card also comes in mce and nonmce more expensive than 150 and offers no real benifit since new models are just as hard to setup as the 150.
350 - this card has hardware encoding and decoding, and some say the best svid output, but very difficult to get working for tvout, and the most expensive.
401 - this is a sofware encoder, meaning the cpu does all the work of encoding the video, also the encoded files are not as portable and easy to put on dvd etc since they are not standard mpeg2.
500 - basically two 150's on one card.

For the original question, searching the wiki would have revealed this: http://knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=TVCards

As for the second, Xsecrets already gave you the answer. The fact that it wasn't black and white reflects the current reality. If you can hunt down an old PVR-250 that gets identified as having a Type 2 tuner that may be the easiest thing to get working, it most certainly won't be the easiest to find or the cheapest.
