Ive got a few good recordings I wanted to burn . The burn proggy in RA16 is nice, I have a pvr-150 so the files are already in mpeg2. When I go to dreat a dvd it goes thru all the steps, lets me preview the burn and then gives me an DVD Burn error when it goes to write. Does the sam efor anything I try to write,,its new and havnt tried it in my Winblows box to see if it works. Looks like in startup screen as it flashes by it says Lite-on dvd..says nothing about dvdr or rw. Any hints would be appreciated. This box is awsome so far, easy set up and use it to Mame..music..weather etc: Now if will just burn

I would recommend updating to the latest version of nuv2disc http://extras.mythtvtalk.com/. One of the changes was to get it to use /dev/dvd as the burner instead of /dev/sd0 (i think). If your knoppmyth install worked properly, this should point to your DVD drive.

Or, you could just make the burner change yourself in the commonvars file under /myth/nuv2disc. (lookl for the /dev/sd0 and replace uwith /dev/dvd and then try the burn again.

You were right (again) Thank for the help along the way. I just manually changed the commonvars file..works like a charm. One last thing to conquer and Im 100% ! This install has been relitively painless, even using a mce pvr 150 and little knowledge of linux. Thanks again. I would ask question about mame but wrong forum
