I have an old agp ati all in wonder rage 128 pro. Do you guys think this will work or will I have to get a new card? I've read here that people had problems with some of the ati cards I'm hoping I can get this working because I don't want to spend cash on a new card.

No, it will not work. No all in wonder does. Avoid ATi.

I certainly don't think ATi started home video capture business (Amiga anyone?) but I digress. The simple fact of the matter is that ATi's drivers suck. In the past the drivers have been hard to configure and the performance has sucked. ATi doesn't work because ATi won't release drivers that will work. While you can use the GATOS drivers for video capture, it doesn't work with MythTV. While I certainly don't like recommending one card (nVidia), the simply fact of the matter is that it works with little effort. As for vidoe capture, search the board. It all depend on how much you want to spend. Don't have a cow, simply stating the facts.

Memories. I used to develop "interactive applications" (simple games for a museum) on Amigas (1000, then 500s).

Aah, the wonders of Genlock video hardware. And DigiView. And "chip" memory, the blitter, bobs, limited memory bandwidth. And a million other things I have nearly forgotten.
