I just picked up a box for $150 canadian that would be great spec wise for a mythtv box. I'm looking for a non HDTV PVR box.

It is a Emachine 2865
AMD Athlon XP 2800+ ( Barton)
Asus AV3I (?) Motherboard ( Nforce 2 Chipset)
512 PC 2700
160 GB IDE Hard Drive
8X DVDRW

It has a new 350 watt (non Emachine) PSU in it.

I have 2 questions

#1 Can I run the integrated Nvidia Graphics until I can pick up a new card with S Video out?

#2 What would be a good Tuner? I'm looking at the WinTV-PVR 150, as I do not have, or plan on getting in the next while HDTV. WIll this card suffice for what I'm looking to do? ( I can pick it up for $100 Canadian).

Thnx,

Jay

Hi,
For the extra few dollars (any language) I would suggest the pvr-350 so you can have tv out and hardware encode / decode. Seen them on the net for ~$164 (assuming us $)
