I already have the HD3000 card in my setup working but noticed there are several shows I would like to record colliding.
So I want to add an additional HD card to my setup. I was about to order an additional 3000 card when I noticed AirStar just released the HD5000 card.

Are there any quality differences? Would it be better to buy the 5000 (later technology)?
I noticed some support questions and a 'will work out of the box for the next release' but how far is that new KnoppMyth release away from being available?

 muahahahaha at my whim. I always wanted to say that. ;) Seriously, when it is ready.

:) Then lets try this: what makes the next release support the 5000 card out of the box? Is it just a new version of Myth (in which case I could upgrade to it myself) or an installation/driver change?

Ok, thanks! Leaves only the question if it makes any sense buying the 5000 card instead of the 3000. I probably hold off until more is known about the new card, still need to reinstall again anyway (I just found out how dangerous apt-get-ing can be, seems I was able to remove all Myth files by just apt-get-ing qt3, whoopee).
