Hello, Everyone,

I can't help but notice that, when watching any kind of panning shot in a show, or looking at the scrolling text on the cable news channels, that the framerate just doesn't "feel" right.
In fact, trying to read those scrolling bars of text on news channels actually makes a a little woozy after a while.
I have a non-MythTV downstairs, it's fine.

I saw this thread: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... ht=flicker

I tried adjusting the flicker filter from 132 to 64 to 32 to 1 (0 is horrendous) but it doesn't seem to have changed a single thing.

How do I go about adjusting the BOB? I don't seem to be able to find that setting. Or is it not something I can do on 2x PVR-150, at least with the IVTV included in R5A26 ?
The link to the webpage mentioned in the post (http://www.100fps.com) is mind-boggling for someone with a limited video background!

Thanks in advance!

BoB refers to the interlacing method. The option for it is somewhere in the frontend settings under playback

mad_paddler, your answer was spot-on!

Easily a 500% improvement.

Thanks for saving my eyes! :D

Still a good idea to use nvidia-settings to tune up your output. It can make a dramatic difference. For example, one classic complaint which it can fix is the sharpness of text crawls along the bottom of the screen like you see at CNN or the like.

I don't see much that's useful/configurable in there. But I'm on DVI output, and I saw another post saying that it supresses much of the goodies when you're not on SVideo. Sound right? If I were to trick it by setting to S-Video, would the options stick when I went back to DVI? Or is this just the setting in the Config-4 (whatever) file?
