DVB: registering new adapter (saa7134[0]).
DVB: registering frontend 0 (Philips TDA10046H DVB-T)...

I can get the analog signal working fine with a great reception however the DVB is a different question, its keeps LOCKING for a signal in Mythtv-Setup and then unlocking.

The DVB channel names do appear at some point, however within Mythfrontend all I get is a blank screen and errors that DVD Card timeout errors.

Sounds like the signal isn't strong enough :( Have you got a DVB set top box, does it pick up dvb signals very well?

I have a DVB-T 300 sitting alongside a DVICO and with the same signal the 300 contiues to have problems with locking. If I give it a direct feed from the aerial no problem , from my signal splitter/booster it has problems. I am waiting to use the .19 signal strength meter to do some more investigation.

got it working but not within mythtv.

used tzap and xine and able to view the digital channels, got a signal straight away and no picture/sound problems so that rules out signal problems.

Still trying to solve why mythtv isnt working thou.

This may seem like a silly question, but do you have the starting channel set properly. I found that with my DVB card that it was often losing the starting channel for no reason (this has stopped by the way).

If the channels are setup correctly in mythtv-setup check your starting channel. Then when trying to use mythtv, check you backend log to see what is going on.

Please note: Don't forget to stop the backend before running mythtv-setup and setting the start channel, because if you don't it won't work.

Getting this from mythbackend, all looks OK.

Also the mythfrontend reports NVP: prebuffering pause until I stop.

I've always had this problem with mythtv even at version 0.18.

If I enter the freq id manualy within mythtv-setup it does pickup the channel names. But havent had any luck getting an digital signal, its fine with the analogue signal (only using the DVB now within mythtv).
