While I'm far from new to linux, I'm totally new to the PVR thing. My situation is such that I want to build a mini-itx PVR, but I have no idea what hardwear to use aside from the win-TV 350. I had the Travla c137 case and EPIA M 10000 board in stock but I have no experience with mini-itx. I'm just wondering if any of you out there have mini-itx PVRs and if so what hardwear are you using. I don't plan on using an optical drive from the start because I have an older laptop which I can install Knopmyth on and then put the drive into the mini-itx. Any helpfull hints, suggestions, and or warnings would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have first hand experiance with miniITX boards. But they use VIA chipsets which are known to have not the best linux drivers.

Also I'm not sure about your plan to install on the laptop and move the drive to the miniITX board. Linux doesn't latch onto specfic hardware as much as MSwindows does, but swapping to a new computer could confuse the OS maybe.
