If you get the first channels right it must be a problem relating to either different signal strenght/quality on the different channels or relating to finetuning of the channels with snow. I have no problems on any of my channels.

Have you tried to finetune your channelsettings for the channels with snow? Im am not at my mythbox right now so i can't tel you how but as i remenber it is somewhere under mythtv-setup - channelsettings - ....

Do you know what signal strenght you have on the different channels?

Another erro could be that you have a bad connection in your antenna link so that the low frequency channels is passing ok but channels on high frequencies is damped. Have you tried an other antenna cable. Have you checked walloutlet.

My last resort is that it is an error in the analog input filters on your Hauppage card.

If your error is caused by a bad connection you can check it by trying other components og try to rock the connectors to se if it changes the amount of snow.

How does you tv react with the same antenna connections?

yes i tryed to finetune it, but dident change any thing. I used pltuneui to find my channels, so they should be right.

the tv is looking fine on the same signal, but i was told here that the tv card was more picky about the signal than the wv would be.

What pussles me is that some channels is ok while others are filled with snow. If you are sure your antenna cable and outlet is ok it must be because you tv has better signal sesitivity than your tv-card.

Maybe a small tv signal amplifier could solve that issue. Typically they cost less than 100 dkkr at the local warehouse

i tryed that, make the picture a bit better.. but not enought, i also tryed to buy a quality amp, that dident make it good enought either...

bought this one:

But if the signal is bad already from comming inside my house, there is nothing a amp can do, as it will just make it worse.. BTW also tryed to buy the good expensive cable...

as far i am conserned i have given up, so if any one is interested i got a cheap p4 2,6Ghz, 1gb ram, tv card and so on for sale now ;)

and i will just keep my via to run MythTV for view dvd´s and souch!
