I tried to use a three years old "Hauppage WinTV-Radio" card in Knoppmyth R5B7. When I run frontend only from the CD MythTV dies after I select the language but Xawtv finds my TV-card and it works better than in my sons windows box (where I stole it).

When I install the backend to the hard disk MythTV works but can't find the TV Card. Xawtv can't find it either. Or maybe I select the wrong one in the capture card setup.

lspci -v showed that the Hauppage card was a Bt878.

I want to find the setup used by the CD and then tell the HD-installation to use the same. Any ideas on where to start looking?
