I installed the knoppmyth R5C7 to my box. So far I've been using VDR. Installation went smoothly, but my dvb cards wont work.

when looking at syslog I find that linux does try to load modules for my tv-cards but fails to load the firmware

However, this file actually exists exactly in the location the loader claims to be looking from.

My cards are :
Hauppauge NEXUS-CA
Hauppauge NEXUS-C ( dont know the model exactly, but this is older DVB-C card from Hauppauge )

Any ideas, what could be wrong?

And the next question, after this is solved is: How do I re-enter the configuration of TV-Cards on installed KnoppMyth system?

Hello,

this seems to be a bug in knoppmyth. I solved this problem whith generating a new startup-script (#95) which has the following entries (paths are missing:)
(path-to-)modprobe -r dvb-ttpci
(path-to-)modprobe dvb-ttpci

After this one of my two dvb-c cards work fine. The second not and I don't know why

Hi ...

I think this was discussed a lot of times before ...

All modules will be loaded (try to be loaded) by default ... but this some cards are gettign problems ... like my siemens dvb-c card with analog module ...

I commented out some modules in /etc/modules .... creates two files in /etc/modutils ... dvb_ttpci ... saa7146

now it is time to update the modules.conf with command update-modules

the firmware for my card should be in /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware/ ... in my case it will be /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware/dvb-ttpci-01.fw ... I don't remember exactly but I think they are there by default ...

after reboot everything works fine
