Hi,

I have a new install of knoppmyth R5C7 and I m able to watch tv with PVR-150 but.. without audio!! I think the problem was in ivtv driver but I m not expert, please help me...

Sound card works because I hear music in frozzen-bubble and I switch-on all volume in alsa-mixer
I also follow wiki in compile ivtv http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=CompileIvtv

My #dmesg for pvr-150:

Let me guess, did you read all of the documentation?

How do you have the audio out going to?

It needs to go from the card (pvr-150) to the input of the sound card. Then you need to go into alsamixer and make sure that the input is adjusted properlly on the mixer.

Then let us know...

Sorry, but this is simply not correct. That type of hook up is only needed for a YUV capture card. The PVR cards capture the sound internally and encode it as part of the MPEG-2 stream they produce. If you are using the SVIDEO or composite inputs from a cable box you might need to provide the sound input to the PVR card too so that it can be included in the capture stream but that's a different issue.

mirr0r - You may either have some strange unsupported model or a new one since it is not being recognized by the 0.4.4 driver. In either case your best bet is probably to try the "ivtv 0.4.6 prelease" drivers. A search for the bit in quotes should turn up my directions on getting these installed.

Oooo!!! The dreaded blackbird hardware! That's up there on the "strange" list. My best advice would be to search the ivtv wiki for the word "blackbird" to see if this stuff is now supported or not. I have a nasty feeling somebody may have palmed some old unsupported OEM hardware off on you.

See here:
http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Supported_hardware
Your card appears to be ID'd as a PVR250 Roslyn version, which is not supported :(
If thats the case, your best bet maybe to sell it to someone who uses Windows and buy another one. If it actually is a PVR150 then it must be a weird variant that no-ones heard of.
