Hello all,
I have a weird issue happening with my Hauppage pvr350 where the coaxial tuner input stopped working, but the s-video works fine. I'm not sure if it is my pvr350 going bad, my channel_change.sh script for the irblaster isn't exiting 0, or if my IVTV drivers need to be recompiled.....
Here is how this issue materialized:
1) I got the pvr350 in February and built my system on R4A30.2.
* I followed the instructions to run the getPvr perl scripts and install the irblaster lirc daemon.
* The system worked fine for several months connected to the cable box using the coaxial tuner set to channel 3.
2) I did a clean install of R5B7 in April, and had to swith to S-Video
* I had some issues geting the IRblaster script to work.
* Once the channels were changing, the tuner would not tune to channel 3.
* When I deleted the "external change channel" command script in the input connection, then I could set the tuner to channel 3 (but not change the cable box).
* In my testing I found that the S-Video was working, so I hooked it up and used it for a while that way.
3) A few weeks ago I reinstalled with R5C7 and the tuner worked again.
* The IRblaster worked immediately once I supplied my hardware files.
* The coaxial input was working again when I tested the input connections.
* Since the coax has better sound, I set up the system using it.
* It crashed and stopped working after a reboot last weekend.
4) Since the tv tuner worked on the install of R5C7, I reinstalled it
* Unlike the first install, after the the second install the coaxial tuner still didn't work!
I have tried the following troubleshooting:
* I have tried seveal coaxial cables.
* My Channel_change.sh script ends in "exit 0".
So, I'm back to using the alternative S-Video configuration for now, but does anyone have an idea on where my problem is?
Thanks,
-Matt
