I've got a PixelVeiw PlayTVPro BT878 card with the audio out patched into the line-in onboard sound (Intel 845G AC97). It all works pretty well, apart from the sound level which is pretty low. I run the sound out of line out into a Hifi, and need to turn the volume up kinda high on the hifi. If I switch to the hifi fm tuner without turning down the volume it is sore eardrum time.

I have the MythTV volume right up, and in the xaumix mixer I have the master and dsp volume on full, and the line in on zero.

I'm wondering if I have to do any low level test_ioctl or similar to the card to set its volume somehow?
