Someone please give me a real dumbed down way of installing my linksys WUSB11 adapter on my knoppmyth system!! i'm not very familiar with linux so as dumbed down as possible would be great!! thank you

The only thing I found was http://www.sharealike.org/HTPC/#Wireless1%20this%20link that mentions only versions up to 2.6 or 2.8 are supported.
There is always http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/index.php/List#L%20ndis%20wrapper - which lists your card, but I'm not sure it meets the simple criteria you're looking for. I only used it once for a laptop a couple of years ago, so I'm not an expert, but maybe someone else has set it up more recently.
Short answer is it's not really supported but it can be made to work.
