I booted into the mainboard (asus a7n8x) bios and corrected the time (it was off by about 12 hours!). when i booted into km, the guide data was off. I know km syncs automagically in r5d1, but it's not know. is there a utility to run to make it or do i need to go back into bios and undo the correct time?

This is kinda general and hardware, but i decided to just put it here.

thanks!

/tk

You wouldn't happen to live 12 hours from GMT/UTC would you? See the troubleshooting page on the wiki (hmmmm... when the wiki comes back up...) titled something like "ProgramGuideIsOff". Linux normally expects the BIOS clock to be set to GMT, and while you can change this, it'll just revert next time your upgrade.

(Wiki is back up so here is a real linkf for future reference - http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=ProgramGuideIsOff)

Hi,

Assuming USA, you could try ntpdate, after you do a tz checkup.

# tzconfig
then
# ntpdate -u north-america.pool.ntp.org
