the pvr-250 has been working pretty well for me with r5c7.

I think removing it from the database and reinstalling it after a reboot did the trick. Also there was an extra phantom card in the database that i deleted. Unfortunately, i didn't completely troubleshoot or even reinstall the pvr-150 as the cable signal is weak and to split again maybe too much.

I was busy with other issues so this was a lower priority until now.

The problem is back after i upgraded the master-backend to r5d1.

But after a reboot and a database repair it seems to be working well.

There are fixes for this in all of the latest version on the various IVTV driver branches. Please see this wiki page for update instructions - http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=CompileIvtv

See the IVTV wiki for details of their change lists, most of which say something like "Detect and workaround DMA offsets that can be introduced by a DMA error." - http://ivtvdriver.org/index.php/Main_Page

I have not seen any more of these artifacts since upgrading to 0.7.1 under R5D1.
