Hi i have a motherboard with a integrated marvell gigabit nic installed. Pre RD51 is was not working so I installed a intel 10/100 pci nic. When I upgraded to RE50 I tested the embedded nic and was happy to findout it worked. So I removed the pci nic. Now I don't have network connectivity until I configure the gigabit nic via netcardconfig or manually.

How do I configure knoppmyth to load the embedded nic on startup?

Hi TjC as I posted I ran netcardconfig. It works with no issues unless I reboot. Then i have to repeat the process. is thier a way to make this permanent.

Sorry, missed that when I read your note. Unless it's got a module load order problem it _should_ just work.

Is the card identified as /dev/eth0 or /dev/eth1?

What does ifconfig show?

What module does the builtin NIC need?

Did you set up for DHCP or static IP?

What does cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth? show?

TJC,

I had to an autoupgrade of the box to move to RE50. After manually configuring static settings it seems to work. I rebooted and it kept the static address for the integrated NIC.

I think I originally screwed it up myself because when I removed the add-on nic I went into the interfaces section and edited some settings. I think i removed the etho entries. It does not matter anymore as it is working.

Thanks for helping.
