As others have said the pvr-350 is not what you want for playing games. It has hardware mpeg-2 (and mpeg-1) playback. All other graphics must be loaded into the pvr-350's framebuffer by the host CPU. This means cpu/memory bus usage is much higher compaired to a mainstream videocard when useing a graphics intense program.

My 3.2Ghz celeron has no problem playing back .avi's/Xvid/divX/etc. With a less powerful system your milage will vairy. I've never tried playing any games on it.

Note for thoes that care: When using the framebuffer feature of the pvr-350 all video refreshes are performed in sync with your TV signal (ie. 29.97Hz for NTSC). So if the CPU has only drawn half the frame from an .avi file when the next frame is due to the TV your screen with have half the new frame and half the last frame. This is called tearing. I can see it in some .avi's during rapid horazontal paning. Though not enough to bother me. That is the only "falt" I have found with the pvr-350's framebuffer.
