When netcardconfig asks "use DHCP?" answering NO sends you down the path to setup a static IP. However, if you're on a network using DHCP, you should probably go that route. This may mean checking the router settings to make sure it allows new clients. Is it your router or are you on someone elses LAN?

Well, wit that out of the way... My capture card doesn't seem to be detecting. The video sources screen shows absolutely nothing =\ It's the WinTV model 401, so it is supposed to work 'out of the box'... right?
