I'm getting the infamous "tuner type not set" associated with having the PVR-500 with the Samsung chips. I thought this was fixed with ivtv 0.4.4? This is a fresh install of R5C7 Do I need to recompile with a special patch? I went through the wiki article CompileIvtv and a section there says: Quote: If you are using R5C7 or later and having problems with your PVR card, go through the last four steps (8-11) and possibly step 4. This is especially likely if you are upgrading from a version older than R5B7 with older ivtv drivers. The color saturation patch mentioned in step 3 might also be worth investigating if you have a PVR-150 or PVR-500.
No go though... so obviously I missed something or didn't search well enough. Can someone give me a pointer please? Thanks, AC |

Step 4 is most likely the key. Forcing it to use the version of the tuner module that ivtv provides. |
