Post subject:  black screen when "Watch TV" with pvr-150

I have had my pvr-150 working fine in an intel based computer that i borrowed temporarily from work.

After a successful KnoppMyth install i decided to build my own box on a spare AMD Board. After my first clean install i was having lockup issues where i'd go into watch tv and after about 10s - 4min it'd freeze... but i was at least getting the TV signal. Since then i did some things... i don't remember what exactly but i could only get a Black screen when i clicked Watch Tv... So, i did a complete reinstall of knoppMyth R5C7 and i can only get the black screen... I tried various things like adding the "option ivtv tuner=50" and that didn't help.

I am sure i have everything setup properly in mythsetup.

When i look at the mythbackend log the only thing it says inbetween the commands where it starts live tv and ends live tv is "Can't enable VBI recording (2)" which is apparently normal since the ivtv driver doesn't support the closed caption stuff yet.

I am starting to think that maybe i damaged the card. I have removed it a few times and tried it in different boxes etc... but that also seems improbable since i don't get any errors about the card not being detected properly etc.

Is there a way i could test to see if i damaged the card's tuning section but the host uC interface IC's are still properly functioning?

System:
Chaintech 7kDD with an Athlon 1600 MP+
1GB Ram
SB Live
PVR-150
NVidea Geforce4 MX-400

And when you start the frontend from an xterm, you get?

I don't think i understand your question.

The mythfrontend opens normally. It's when i click Watch TV the screen goes blank.

I'm starting to think maybe the card is really damaged... i tried putting it back in the Intel system that it worked in previously and when i try to scan channels it doesnt' find anything.
