Reposting because I didn't want to hijack another persons post. The receiver and blaster on a pvr150 are not working for me. Irrecord spits out a message of "hardware not found". My /var/log/kern.log has the same message when lirc tries to load. I guess my next step would be to go to an older version if IVTV and/or LIRC but before I do that I would like to know if others have had any success. Any ideas appreciated. thanks Craig |

Craig I upgraded the ivtv software to 0.4.5 and my remote and sound are working, but I get nothing but static on the screen, despite a dozen or so changes to the /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv last night (and associated reboots). My PVR-150 is the model 1045 (with the dogbone remote and IRblaster on the same cable) HTH |

The 0.4.5 ivtv driver has issues. Mostly with locking up when you try to change the channel. I don't recommend using it. Installing 0.4.4 over the top of it should get you back to a working state. |

I've almost given up on the PVR250 with a serial IR Blaster. I'm wanting to go buy the PVR150 ( 1045 ) and use the built in IR Blaster. Like Craig mentioned, is there a walk through for getting the built-in IR working for the PVR150 with R5C7? I found this one but I'm not sure if it's for the built-in IR or the serial. http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6206 I'll call you tonight Scott and ask you! ![]() |

Serial blaster should be easy to get working now. I did get the 150 blaster working can't remember what I finally did but just remember when you make a change do a full shutdown and leave the pc off for a minute to clear the ivtv registers. You can contact me if you want help with the serial one. Craig |

Here's what appears to be pretty complete directions in getting the 150 IR Blaster working. http://www.blushingpenguin.com/mark/blog/?p=24 I ran into issues when following these steps, but it seems others have followed this through and ended up with functioning systems. My troubles are detailed at the bottom of the page in the user comments section. |
