Hi

I'm a complete newbie with Linux so I hoped to go the easy route and let KnoppMyth do the work.
I have a Hauppauge HVR-1300 which works OK under windoze mce but I wanted to try out Linux.

I originally loaded the system with R5B7 without success and have tried R5C7 with no apparent difference. All I get is a message about backend not started.

Trouble is that coming from a windoze background I don't know enough Linux basics on how to get started and what questions to ask or info to look for on how to start the 'backend'

Does anyone have the HVR-1300 up and running and if they have can you give some words of advice please?

Have I misunderstood the purpose of this usergroup?

I was hoping to find somewhere to find some assistance getting Knoppmyth going - are you able to tell me which usergroup I should have registered with please?
